Ethics
Ethics examines standards of right and wrong conduct and how people put those standards into practice.
Ethics concerns the standards used to judge right and wrong conduct, along with the ongoing examination of those standards. It considers questions such as fairness, honesty, responsibility and the effects of decisions on other people.
For property teams, an ethical review can examine how a proposed action affects owners, residents, coworkers and vendors. Examples include reporting a known problem honestly, protecting private information and recognizing a conflicting interest before choosing a course of action.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is ethics the same as following an established procedure?
No. A procedure describes how work is carried out. Ethical reflection asks whether the standards and resulting conduct are reasonable and responsible, even when a habit or common practice is widely accepted.
